Downtown's Cookin' in Rehoboth Beach is a great way to kick off the holiday season.

Rehoboth Beach residents looking for a fun way to kick off the holiday season won't want to miss Downtown's Cookin', an annual family event scheduled for Sunday, December 8, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center.

"[Downtown's Cookin'] offers plenty of food, fun and entertainment for all ages," states the Cape Gazette, a regional news outlet. "Mingle with neighbors and feast on local chefs'/restaurants' favorite dishes and desserts while enjoying live musical performances, crafts galore and even a visit from Santa!  In addition to food and entertainment, Rehoboth's 2013 Citizen of the Year, Paul Kuhns, will be honored."

Folks who plan to attend the event are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to donate to neighbors and pets in the community who are in need. Those who choose to donate will be entered in a drawing led by Bryan Hecksher of The Auto Gallery, and will have the chance to win a free car detail.

Tickets are just $15 for adults, $10 for seniors, $5 for kids and free for children 5-years-old and younger.

Downtown's Cookin' is just one example of the festive gatherings that take place in Rehoboth Beach throughout the year, making this quaint East Coast locale a wonderful place to call home for people of all ages.
